 Mauricio
Morais was born in Mairos-Chaves Portugal. He came to the United States in 1966
with his parents and 12 siblings.
They settled in
Massachusetts where he still lives today. Learning to play the accordion in his
hometown, it was evident that he had a passion for music.
Once in the United
States he was influenced by the Beatles and Elvis Presley and his love of music
began.
At the tender of age
of 15 he formed a band, where they performed through out local clubs in the New
England area. In the early 80s he started to write his own songs that led to his
first recording in 1984, the name of the album was "Show Me the Way."
