7th Annual Claflin Hill
Symphony Fall Fling Gala Benefit
The 7th Annual
Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra Fall Fling & Silent Auction was
held Friday, October 12, 2007 at Milford’s Sheraton Hotel.
The CHSO
Fall Fling offered CHSO patrons and community citizens a chance to swing to the
sounds of the Jerry Seeco Band and Claflin Hill Strings, while enjoying
the company of good friends. This year’s black tie event featured Frank Sinatra
tribute artist, Steve Marvin, who highlighted the entertainment portion
of the evening with a fantastic set of Sinatra favorites. Ron Della Chiesa,
the voice of the Boston Symphony, and popular radio personality and host of
Strictly Sinatra, hosted the evening’s festivities. The evening
began with a cocktail hour allowing guests to socialize and to view and bid on
the many silent auction items available for them to “win” later in the
evening.
After
being served a three-course white glove dinner, the night began to swing with
dancing throughout the remainder of the evening to the Jerry Seeco Band & The
Claflin Hill Strings. Seeco’s band has an extensive repertoire that includes
hits from swing to rock; many couples have recently taken dance lessons, and
they wowed the crowd with their “Dancing with the Stars” type dance routines.
The Fall
Fling ended with the silent auction. All proceeds of the Fall Fling are to
benefit the many programs presented throughout the year that the CHSO produces
in the region.
