The Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra
gave its first performance on May 7, 2000 in the historic Grand Ballroom of The Milford Town Hall. Since that date, it has performed 4 - 5 symphony concerts each year, along with children's concerts, outreach in schools
, chamber music concerts and most recently the absorption of The MetroWest Youth Symphony Orchestra (MetYSO) now known as The Claflin Hill Youth Symphonies.
In 1997, Paul Surapine, a New York trained clarinetist, saw an opportunity to create performance opportunities for the talented musicians, who live in the Boston/ MetroWest region and to create a vehicle for locally based companies and corporations to give back to the community through sponsorships and support.
