Sierra Lary, Soprano – the captivating soprano Diva of CHSO’s Carmina Burana Season Finale returns to collaborate with Claflin Hill for our Chamber Series Opener featuring a spectacular evening of vocal virtuosity in expression of “seasonal Love Songs!” French and German romance music of Bizet, Massenet, Schumann, mixed in with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lerner and Loewe and more!
Sierra is joined by her longtime friend and musical collaborator David Owens on piano and CHSO Maestro Paul Surapine joins them on Clarinet for a rollicking romp through Schubert’s iconic Shepherd on the Rock!

Always one of our most memorable evenings of the CHSO ATA season! A chance for CHSO and ATA faculty musicians to bring their favorite entrees, it’s almost like a “flash-mob” concert – we never know what we’ll come up for on the “menu” that evening, but it’s ALWAYS one of the most interesting and energetic programs of the series!! We can’t wait to figure out what we’ll play next January, but we guarantee it not to be missed! You never know – we might even have a “Pop-Up” musician join us for the evening from CHSO!!

Our January concert traditionally features the stellar Apple Tree Arts Faculty and CHSO members performing a varied “cornucopia” of music – ala “Pop Up Chef Kitchen!” You never know what you might find on the menu, but it’s sure to be adventurous, inspiring and a whole new, flavorable experience! The Claflin Hill Chamber Series launches another season by presenting CHSO Founder Paul Surapine, joined by family & friends in a virtuoso and entertaining program of classic French clarinet “tour da forces” paired with “salon style” offerings of Italian & English artsongs, Broadway, “Gypsy” and more!! A refreshing “take” on the concept of chamber music presentation – music by, for and amongst friends in an intimate setting!!
