The CHSO launches into the next 25 years of cultural adventure with a Season Opener that completes business of the past – with a performance of Dvorak’s iconic New World Symphony that was postponed in the previous season – and the beginning of new sonic explorations – CHSO Principal Oboist Sachiko Murata fulfills a life long dream to perform Richard Strauss’ final work, preluded with Charles Ives evocative, mysterious and enigmatic short ode to the meaning of life and creation!

Come celebrate winter’s magic with the CHSO and Greater Milford Community Chorus where The Grand Ballroom is transformed into a winter wonderland!  The warm sounds of the holidays will fill the hall with festive seasonal favorites, including a holiday sing-along and a visit from jolly ol’ St. Nick! Let’s ring in the Holidays together with The Greater Milford Community Chorus, under the direction of Mark Schiappucci, joining CHSO for their sixth year!

All new repertoire for the CHSO from the pens of the great composers we have often visited and are so familiar with!!!  Resphigi, Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky – icons of their own generational styles turn their creative vocabulary back to the roots of Classical music.  Tchaikovsky’s Homage to Mozart based on themes and styles of the Master, along with Stravinsky and Resphigi’s charming, elegant and powerful settings of Italian Baroque lute and chamber orchestra music –  brought to life in full modern, orchestral “Technicolor” soundscape created by your own virtuosic CHSO!
